"I Have No Response to That"

It's a line from Joe vs. The Volcano--when Meg Ryan's character (s) didn't know what to say, this is what she said.

I don't know what to say ...
It's not because I'm in shock, although I still am, several days later. It's not because there haven't been literally hundreds of offers of love and help, because there have. It's not because I haven't been given the blessing of awesome family members-both immediate and extended, because I have.
...I think it's more like never in a million years did I expect this to be an answer to a question.

And I know that in the coming days, weeks, months, years I'm going to learn the true meaning of "thy will be done."

  1. We're praying for you at this house. I'm sure the Lord will generously exercise His law of compensation in your behalf.

  2. I think that is what everyone was thinking what they heard. I just think of how many wonderful things you were able to do together (like going to Hawaii) and think he had a great life. He will be greatly missed. You are such a strong woman and I know the Lord will bless you with even more strength. As Tevia from Fiddler on the Roof would say "May the Lord bless you and keep you."

  3. Amen to what Darcee said. Thank heaven for temple sealings, and that eternity lasts longer than this adversity filled mortal life! Happily ever after is coming...and your faith is helping you get through for now. We love you.

  4. It was a beautiful service today. I was extremely moved, and so glad to learn more about G. I wish there was something else I/we could do.

You are in our thoughts. You will be watched after, I just know it.

  6. I love your humble attitude. This quote comes to mind, "I know that God won't give me anything I can't handle, I just wish he didn't trust me so much."--Mother Teresa. Lots of love and prayers from our house to yours.
